Hosting Accounts

Overview

If you're a new UFIT Hosting customer your first hosting arrangment will require a new hosting account be setup. UFIT staff will work with you to gather the information necessary to setup billing for your hosted resources. Existing Telecom accounts are not usable for this purpose.

Information Required for Accounting

The following information is required to establish your account:

  1. Unit Name (college, department, or other UF unit that will be responsible for paying this account.)
  2. Fiscal Contact: Name, Gatorlink username, email address, and phone number for the fiscal person who will pay the account.
  3. Managerial Technical Contact: Name, Gatorlink username, email address, and phone number for the fiscal person who will pay the account.
    • This person(s) will be the primary technical contact with regards to this hosting account. They are able to modify who can deploy services on behalf of their group and they can see and manage all resources deployed by anyone in this group.
  4. Support Technical Contact: Name, Gatorlink username, email address, and phone number.
    • This person(s) can see and manage all resources deployed by anyone in this group.
  5. Technical Contact: Name, Gatorlink username.
    • This person(s) can see and manage only resrouces they have deployed.
  6. Manager email
    • This email address will recieve all administrative emails in regards to deployed items and UF Hosting communications.
